Greenscape Gardens Ltd are proud to be offering a unique apprenticeship opportunity to join our award-winning landscape company.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, intelligent, hard-working and ambitious candidate who has aspirations for a career in the landscaping industry and is willing to learn.
The apprentice will look to be part of our growing company for many years to come with the goal to work up through the ranks, with the aim of becoming a Foreman or Project manager.
The successful candidate will shadow one of our Project managers and assist with all aspects of undertaking a landscape project, which will include paving, decking, brickwork, fencing, lawns, planting and soft landscaping. One of the real perks of landscaping work is the variety. Our projects can vary from week to week and tasks change from day to day, meaning that we may be laying a patio one day and then installing a frame for a deck the next. 95% of our projects are outside, so the right candidate will love the outdoors! You will be involved in many aspects of landscaping and we will support you in developing a range of skills, including learning to perform tasks independently and how to plan and run projects efficiently to our extremely high standards.
The successful candidate must have good grades at GCSE Minimum level 4, particularly in Maths and English as the job will involve setting out, measuring areas, ordering materials as well as speaking with clients and suppliers. To be considered for this role GCSE results must be included within your application.
We are based in Surbiton, Surrey and generally undertake work in surrounding areas. Whilst on site, the successful candidate will be required to meet at our yard office for 7am every morning. There will also be a one day per week landscaping course at a local landscape college.
You will initially be paid £150 per week increasing to £160 per week after first month’s review and further increasing as you reach major points in your progression on site and in college.
We are looking to fill this role by the end of January 2019 and will be holding interviews throughout January.
