We are seeking free- lance tutors to deliver and promote the Horticulture Apprenticeships in line with YMCA Training’s Skills Funding Agency contractual targets, to support the achievement of the Charity’s vision and YMCA Training’s strategy. You will effectively manage a caseload of learners at various employer locations within a geographical area, assessing and coaching all learners individually or within a group.
If you are occupationally competent with a proven track record within the world of horticulture, with the skills and abilities to deliver the 17 required units within the Horticulture Level 2 apprenticeship, including the PA1 and PA6 spraying qualification. If you have a passion and desire to make a difference and feel that you have the skills we are seeking and a relevant teaching or training qualification (e.g. PTTLS, DTTLS, PGCE). With evidence of ability to assess effectively and to prepare relevant materials. Look no further.

You will be able to effectively manage a caseload of learners at various employer locations. You will assess and coach all learners individually or within a group, conforming to current Awarding Organisation, national occupational standards and YMCA guidelines.
You will motivate and support learners to achieve their Apprenticeship. You will identify and encourage further employees to undertake these qualifications/assessments and match their needs to the most appropriate qualification for their role.
You will also be able to:
Manage apprenticeships for the lifecycle of their programme, from sign-up to qualification, including all associated administration.
