Our client is a leading specialist within pond refurbishment, construction and maintenance.  They are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join their thriving team of Aquatic Landscapers.  The role requires a hardworking, self-motivated person who is very happy working in and around ponds, takes real pride in their work and has excellent communication skills!  The company are renowned for their high standards, so attention to detail and excellent customer service are top of their list of requirements! Hard landscaping is a significant part of the job so any potential candidates must be physically fit and able to be trained to mix concrete, carry out heavy lifting and be willing to learn new skills in that area.  Some Aquatic plant knowledge would be advantageous, as would knowledge of fish and other pond life, but all the necessary training will be provided for the right candidate.  You will need your own transport to go to and from the Head office, and a clean driving licence as you will be required to drive a company vehicle.
Duties include:
·         Construction of new garden ponds
·         Refurbishment of existing garden ponds
·         Installation of pond pumps and filtration
·         Mixing concrete and moving materials
·         Removing wildlife safely from ponds while maintenance carried out
·         Aquatic planting
Skills required:
·         Basic building skills
·         Horticultural background / some plant knowledge
·         Clean driving licence & own transport (essential)
·         Team player (essential)
·         Customer service experience
The hours of work are 7.15am til finish.  On average you will be working a 9 hour day (with an hours breaks throughout the day).  Our client does consider part time workers, and can accommodate a minimum of 2 full days a week. 
In return for your commitment and hard work, potential candidates will be rewarded with excellent training opportunities, a good variety of work and a huge amount of job satisfaction.  The starting salary is £20,500 with regular increases based on performance and ability.  However, this salary is negotiable, dependant on the experience and skills the candidate can bring to the role.  There are also many opportunities to increase your earnings by working weekends and the extra hours required to finish a job.
